It was originally started in 1929 as a gentleman\u2019s game shooting ground, in 1963 the chance to buy the 38 acres of land arose. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">The club was bought by several members, who offered paid membership to other shooters, and when they had recovered their initial loan money through membership fees, gave the club back to the members thus making it a cooperative. This award was presented to an unsuspecting Brian who attended the CPSA AGM at Bisley for his thirty seven years service to the clay shooting sport. Brian thought he was there just to represent Hampshire as Treasurer along with Lauren Goodman the Hampshire Chairlady.<\/p>   <p class=\"has-text-align-center\">To have our club President and Treasurer receive the position of Honorary Life Vice President of the CPSA is quite a unique piece of history at the club.<\/p>   <p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Well done Brian.<\/p> <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fareham CTC boasts an impressive and unique history.
